Cairns Children’s Festival
Cairns Children’s Festival is a fantastic opportunity for kids aged twelve and under to take part in a variety of activities that will encourage their imagination, test their creativity, and see them engage with other young individuals from all parts of Australia.
The festival takes place annually in May, and invites whole families to enjoy a two-day program of events along with a fun and safe atmosphere with plenty to see, do and take part in.
This year’s Cairns Children’s Festival will once again put kids in the spotlight with a number of creative workshops and hands-on activities, in which they’ll be collectively contributing to a mixture of art-based installations and projects. There will also be fun family-friendly entertainment and delicious food for all to enjoy as the program unfolds.
Attendees can expect Cairns Children’s Festival to return bigger and better than ever before for its sixth year, which will see a brand new and exciting program stretch across three fantastic locations in Cairns: Tank Arts Centre, Cairns Performing Arts Centre and the Cairns Botanic Gardens.
With both free and ticketed events on the program, there’s guaranteed to be something for the whole family to enjoy.

Cairns Expo 2019
Cairns Expo is back for 2019 to showcase the latest industry products and services catering to home renovation, gardening, lifestyle hobbies, and outdoor adventure. The expo is the largest of its kind in Far North Queensland, and invites visitors of all ages for a huge program spread over three days in Cairns.
Each year, Cairns Expo attracts thousands of visitors from all over Far North Queensland with its fantastic list of exhibitors selling a variety of products such as caravans and camper trailers, boats and vehicles, fishing and camping gear and more. There are also exclusive services to avail, which include home renovation and decoration, gardening and financing.
Visitors can take the opportunity to talk one-on-one with industry experts, as well as get their hands on brand new and discounted products direct from exhibitors. There will be a talk from Fruit Forest Farm owners Peter and Alison Salleras in Backyard Living Presentations, and an unmissable live demonstration from experienced camp oven cook Ron Wilson, aka “Kingbrown”.

Wolfgang’s Magical Musical Circus

Seussical Jr: The Musical
Presented by The Young Company Theatre, Seussical Jr: The Musical is every favourite Dr. Seuss character live on stage in a magical musical extravaganza that’s set to be heaps of fun for both parents and kids alike.
American children’s author Dr. Seuss is best known for classics such as Horton Hears a Who!, The Cat in the Hat and How the Grinch Stole Christmas!, and in this exciting new musical, Dr. Seuss’ most popular characters are brought to life on stage by a spectacular cast of some of Australia’s most talented young performers.
