Celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Straight Island culture at the 2018 Cairns Indigenous Art Fair. Taking place over four days in Cairns and offering a brand new program for 2018, the Cairns Indigenous Art Fair is a highly-anticipated event this winter which will attract another huge turnout of visitors from all over the region for a fantastic opportunity to celebrate Australian heritage. Ever since 2014, the Cairns Indigenous Art Fair has promoted and showcased Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander performers and artists each year in Cairns, and received a momentous attendance of almost 200,000 since its inaugural event four years ago. This year’s program will feature live cultural entertainment and vibrant dance performances along with authentic market stalls and a mouthwatering spread of local food. The Opening Night Party will initiate the 2018 event with exhilarating entertainment from Miriki Performing Arts, Northern POMO Tribe, and Electric Fields; and from then on three more days of nonstop events will continue throughout the Art Fair. These will include workshops and special talks, art exhibitions and markets, kids’ activities, plus more live performances and dance shows. For an unforgettable cultural experience this winter make sure to attend the 2018 Cairns indigenous Art Fair, which will take place at the Cairns Cruise Liner Terminal from July 12 to July 15.
